Azure Collared Shirt Dress

This iridescent aqua fabric remnant jumped out at me and was asking for me to make a summer dress out of it to match the azure water of Greece for my next trip. I didn’t have much time left, yet I still wanted to challenge myself and wanted to explore French seams for the first time. The Hawthorne dress pattern from Seamwork was the perfect choice for the crispness of the fabric. To match the beautiful shine of the fabric I found greenish-blue iridescent buttons and even managed to sew all 13 of them onto the dress before my trip to Greece.
